I Once Had a Comrade

South of Karhov, December 2, 1942: Stalingrad was sourounded. General Paulus'
6th Army was slowly withering under both Zukov's armies and the Russian winter.
The Vikings were to take part in von Manstein's relief drive. During the rail
trip, the Norland Regiment's train was stopped and attacked by a band of partisans.

Game Length: 7 turns

For the Partisans to win they must ambush the relief train and escape to the southwest
For the germans to win they must neutralize as many partisans as posible before they escape

Partisans: Squads, MMG, LMG's
Germans: Squads, MMG, LMG's, FT's

Boards: #5

Aftermath: Being jolted awake, the SS came under intensive fire. Overcoming their initial
shock they were quick to break up the partisan attack. Although many of the partisans made
good their escape, others were not so fortunate.
